Nosizi Dube Graduates from the University of Nairobi

Definitely one of KICE Foundation’s most inspiring success stories; a lady that requires no introduction! Our very own Nosizi Dube graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (2nd Class Upper Division) from the University of Nairobi.

Nosizi was enrolled into our program in 2016 when she joined Senior Chief Koinange Girls High School. She scored a B(plain) in her KCSE in 2019. When she joined the University of Nairobi(UoN) the foundation’s patron, Kimani Ichung’wah personally took up the role of paying for her tuition and this noble endeavor is clearly paying off. Nosizi has been a forceful and dynamic advocate for social inclusion. She worked hand in hand with the Kenya Human Rights Commission to campaign for the recognition of the Shona Community and their acquisition of citizenship.

In March 2024, Ms. Dube took part in the East Africa Regional Early Childhood Conference as a Global Youth Ambassador delegate. During the event that was held in Dar Es Salaam Tanzania, she made a passionate call on governments, CSOs, NGOs and other non-state actors to prioritize and invest in early childhood education and development for sustainable socioeconomic development of our region and Africa as a whole.

Nosizi Dube’s story is a quintessential illustration of the power of education to enable our young people break barriers and reach their full potential, for their own benefit and that of the society. We shall continue to support her in her journey towards her rendezvous with her great destiny.
